Tendertwin is the moniker of the Turkish musician Bilge Nur Yılmaz.

Founded in Istanbul, based in London, Tendertwin is in limbo between space and time. The nomadic delicacy of Tendertwin combines elements of chamber-folk and avant-pop with a singer- songwriter twist through sweeping strings and suggestive synths. Reminiscent of the style of late 2000s female troubadours, including Regina Spektor, Bat For Lashes, and Weyes Blood, the heaving lyrics conjure up ghosts of the past on layers of aching harmonies. Tendertwin weaves inventive myths of transatlantic devotion on acoustic guitar arpeggi with a subtle Mediterranean dreaminess and promises haunting yet liberating chaos. Transfixing the listener with the stark naked reach of her vocal performance, she embodies a sheer manifestation of dualities and trivialities.
